Moving in

Now that the drive has ended i'm left with the task of actually living here. Coming from a smallish town with nary a double lane highway in sight I find myself a block away from a four laner. It's amazingly quiet or maybe the cars are so constant that there's just an undertone of white noise that i don't notice. Following my mother's dictum that the way to settle in is to discover the supermarket and the library i did both: the Safeway and Starbucks are within walking distance and the library just down the road. And yesterday I drove out to a state park for a morning hike that was beautiful.

After arriving in the rain I had wondered what brought all these people here - i've discovered it - cloudless blue sky and 70 degree days. I won't mention it again. I promise.
